On April 20, 2010, a drilling rig on the Gulf of Mexico suffered an explosion. This offshore rig sunk, killing 11 people, and resulting in “the largest accidental marine oil spill in the history of the petroleum industry” (NY Times, ScienceDaily, Wikipedia). This massive oil spill is known today as the “BP Oil Spill.”
In a play off of my name and this tragedy, BP’s Fuel For Thought is a blog designed to provide readers with biblical thoughts and ideas to fuel the fire of spiritual reflection. My goal is to consistently pour out sound and Scriptural material which doesn’t need the messy clean up that comes from false teachers, false doctrine, and apostasy (2 Timothy 4:3-4; 2 Peter 2:1-3; Galatians 1:6-10; etc).
