On Sunday I had the opportunity to worship in a unique way. Nearly 2,000 Christians gathered to worship the Lord at Polishing the Pulpit in Tennessee. As I praised the Lord together with everyone, I realized what an incredible honor this was. I was privileged enough to…
…worship with 2,000 brothers and sisters in Christ.
…listen to 2,000 beautiful, harmonizing voices fill the room in song.
…be uplifted by 2,000 people who were putting the Lord above all else.
…to see 2,000 other workers for the Lord.
…to approach the Lord’s throne in prayer with 2,000 others.
…to see the thriving teens and children of these families.
Whether it is struggles or blessings, we have brethren who are experiencing the same things we are in this world (1 Peter 5:9). We have brethren who are serving the Lord with all their might (Ecclesiastes 9:10). We have brethren who are equipping themselves with the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10ff). We have brethren who love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30).
It’s wonderful to see so many faithful Christians. If there is anything that gives us a little taste of heaven, it’s worshiping with 2,000 saints! I look forward to the day when we will worship not with 2,000, but with all Christians in heaven. Let’s be there on that great day.
